Executive Team (2024/2025)

President: Madison Ciulla

Hello! My name is Madison and I am heading into my 5th year at UBCO as an environmental chemistry major. I will be running for president in the upcoming ECCU election. This past year I was the ECCU's secretary and also helped organize some of the midterm study sessions and the Frind Winery event. I feel with my past experience and knowledge I can serve as a great president for the ECCU. I can't wait to host more events next year and meet students new to the environmental chemistry program!

Vice President Events: Jessica Downey

Hi everyone! I'm Jess, a 5th year enviro chem major. My goal for
this coming year is to create more opportunities for ENCH students to
get involved in the community, industry, and to create a more
inclusive environment through hosting events! If elected, there will
be many more field trips and pub nights in the future. A few of my
ideas include an environmental consulting field school, mine site
visits, nature hikes and more analytical lab field schools (definitely
with wine again; cannabis and other phytoceuticals could also be a
possibility...).

Vice President Finance: Liam Rybuck

I am going in to my 4th year of the Environmental Chemistry program and know that I would be best suited as the VP of Finance because I have previous experience as the ECCU Treasurer, meaning I already know how to submit payback requests to the SUO and have already proven that I can responsibly handle the finances of the course union so that we can fund the events we enjoy so much.

Executive: Matthew Bourget

Hi my name is Matt Bourget and I will be going into my fourth and
final year as an environmental chemistry student. The course union is very important to me as I feel as it helps to bring to light an extremely under-appreciated major. I hope we can grow and continue to partner with other course unions and local companies to show how we can utilize the knowledge we gain from the major to truly change our environment for the better.

Executive: Kate Wilson

My name is Kate, I’m a current second year environmental chemistry student, and I would be interested in the executive position. I believe that I would be a good fit for the position due to my ability to be flexible and helpful in times of need!! I’ve had lots of experiences in past jobs creating and helping reach goals in terms of activities and events, which I believe can make me a valuable asset. I’ve been in the environmental chemistry program throughout my time at UBCO and would love to help promote involvement with the major.

Executive: Taylor Albright

I am in my final year of my environmental Chemistry degree. I am a part of the UBCO Co-op program and have lots of experience in writing cover letters, resumes and prepping for interviews if anyone
needs help! I would love to also be a part of the social media content
being posted by the eccu instagram page as I love creating content! I
enjoy spending my free time outside hiking so going on group hikes would be a great activity within the ECCU!

Executive: Kiera Durrant

My name is Kiera and I'm hoping to be considered for one of the
executive positions next year! I have experience in participating in
various club operations due to my duties in our school's Tennis Club
and I have also worked in a professional capacity as an events
coordinator for my hometown's municipality. I would love to help and
support our team while increasing my participation in course union
events and meetings!
