Undergraduate Courses
Navigating the many portals of university websites is confusing. We’ve included some tips below to try and remedy that. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us.
The course requirements for majoring in Environmental Chemistry (ENCH) can be found here.
The link provided leads to "Course Planning - Okanagan”, which is accessible to the public. This is a great resource for exploring the course requirements for all programs offered by UBCO.
You can find this website by:
Searching online for “UBC Okanagan Academic Calendar”
Select Faculties, Schools and Colleges > Faculty of Arts and Sciences > Bachelor of Science Programs > Environmental Chemistry.
Or logging into Student Service Centre
Select Course Schedule > Help > Course Planning - Okanagan.
One last tip:
Don’t be afraid to reach out to your peers, TAs, professors, and academic advisors. We’re here to help!
The key to success is often working with others and reaching out for support when you need it.
Checking the progress of your degree
If you’re already a UBCO student you can also access “Degree Navigator”, which allows you to check the progress of your degree. You can find it by:
Logging into the Student Service Centre
Select Registration > Degree Navigator - Okanagan > Follow the prompts to enter the system, pressing “Continue” > On the right-hand side, select your major > Under “Degree Description”, select “Audit - UBC Report”
Note: if something doesn't look right (e.g. one of your electives is under the wrong category; you're pretty sure you've fulfilled all your upper-year electives but it's not appearing that way) don't panic. Mix-ups on Degree Navigator are common. Contact the Academic Advising office as soon as possible to resolve the issue.
